The Charitable Foundation of the Energy Bar is delighted to announce that the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources has awarded the CFEBA’s “Gala and Silent Auction to Benefit We Care Solar” program with the 2015 State or Local Bar Environment, Energy, and Resources Program of the Year Award.

The State or Local Bar Environment, Energy, and Resources Program of the Year Award recognizes the best continuing legal education program or public service project of the year focused on issues in the field of environmental, energy, or natural resources law.

Thanks to the generosity of the members of the Energy Bar Association, the CFEBA was recognized for providing funds to support the purchase of compact solar electric systems that fit in a suitcase.  The “WE CARE Solar Suitcase” powers overhead LED lighting, charges cell phones, and includes LED headlamps and rechargeable batteries, all necessary for providing health care and other public safety services to under-developed communities in Africa.

The ABA presented the CFEBA with this award at the ABA Annual Meeting held in Chicago on Sunday, August 2, 2015.

The Board of the CFEBA extends its sincere appreciation to all who donated funds at the Gala and Silent Auction to Benefit We Care Solar.  We would not have received this prestigious award without your support.
